These terms and conditions govern your use of Sameway Rides. By accessing or using our services, you agree to
comply with these terms.
1. User Responsibilities:
- Users must provide accurate and truthful information during account creation and when publishing rides or
other interactions within the app.
- All users are expected to follow applicable government laws and regulations, including those specific to
ride-sharing and driving.
- Users should provide honest feedback to promote a reliable and trustworthy community.
2. Pricing and Payment Systems:
- Drivers will collect ride payments directly from passengers.
- Platform commission fees (10% of total ride earnings) are processed securely using Razorpay Payment Gateway.
3. Guidelines and Behavior:
- Respect and courtesy are mandatory to ensure cooperative and pleasant interactions among users.
- Safety is prioritized by adherence to traffic laws, including wearing seatbelts and using helmets.
- Users must be punctual and reliable, informing others promptly in case of delays or changes.
- Users without a commercial license or yellow plate registration vehicles cannot publish more than two rides
per day, in compliance with Indian government laws.
4. Dispute Resolution:
- Disputes should be resolved amicably between users via the in-app contact feature.
- If users cannot resolve an issue independently, they can contact Sameway Rides’ customer support for
mediation.
- Any unresolved disputes may be reviewed and addressed further by our team.
5. Cancellation and Commission Policy:
- Passenger Cancellation: Passengers cannot cancel a ride after it has been accepted by the
driver.
- Driver Cancellation: Drivers may decline booking requests but cannot cancel once a request
is accepted.
- Refunds are not applicable as there are no cancellation fees for either passengers or drivers.
- A 10% platform commission is deducted from drivers’ total earnings.
6. Suspension or Termination:
- Sameway Rides reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for repeated violations, safety concerns,
fraudulent activities, non-payment, or legal non-compliance.
7. User Data and Privacy:
- We collect and use user data to enhance our services while adhering to strict security and privacy measures.
- User data is not shared without consent, except when required by law.
- Data retention is limited to 30 days after account deletion requests, as outlined in our privacy policy.
8. Account Deletion:
- Users can request account deletion at any time. Data will be retained for 30 days to address legal or
regulatory needs and will be permanently deleted afterward.
- Users can restore their account within 30 days of a deletion request by logging back in and selecting the
“Keep My Account” option.
9. Limitations of Liability:
- The app and services are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Users accept any risks associated
with app usage.
- Sameway Rides is not responsible for third-party services integrated into the app or for user behavior.
- Liability is limited to the amount paid by the user for app access or services.
10. Intellectual Property Rights:
- Sameway Rides owns all intellectual property rights, including app designs, code, trademarks, and content.
- Users are granted a non-exclusive license to use the app for its intended purpose.
